the data center is connected to a UPS or uninterruptible
power supply, that UPS power is
N+1
redundant with instant fail over coverage should the
main UPS ever fail. On keeping with the complete
redundant architecture of
N+1, the
data center's HVAC or heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning systems are also N+1 redundant.
In case of
fires, the data centers are installed with advanced fire
suppression systems to keep fires from spreading.
