Prices

Custom Computers & Laptops

Call or email with either exact specifications or just tell us what you would like to use your computer for.  We will then quote your system for you.  Our prices are very competitive, and we offer a one-year warranty on parts & labor.  Some individual components have longer manufacturer warranties, such as 5-years on hard drives, etc.  We will honor these manufacturer warranties as well beyond the first year.

Within Dane & Iowa Counties, configuration, optimization, delivery and installation of your new computer is FREE!

Repairs & Consulting

For onsite consulting & repair services within Dane & Iowa Counties, the charge is $60/hr, minimum charge: 30 minutes (to cover mileage, etc.). 

For locations outside of Dodgeville & Madison areas, the hourly charge is the same, except a mileage surcharge of $15 will be added for every 40 miles from our Dodgeville office minus the first 40 miles.

If you are willing to bring your computer to me in Dodgeville, the charge is only $50/hr.

Wireless / Networking

Got a new broadband internet connection, and need to connect multiple computers?  No problem!  We can assist you in wired or wireless networking.  Cost will depend on the job, so please contact us to find out how we can help you.

A standard home secure wireless setup would cost $50 plus a router if you don't already have one.

Business Service Agreements

We offer business service agreements to local companies wishing to have the peace of mind of an on-call professional to solve their computer needs.  Service agreements are priced based on company size & desired services.  Contact us for a free personalized assessment!

Our standard agreement would include full service & every-day business hour phone support.  It would include full inventory, monthly checks for current patches & virus definitions on all systems via an office visit, monthly discussions with management or key employees regarding problems or ideas to be implemented, as well as limited emergency support.

Costs for the standard agreement would be as follows:
(monthly recurring charge-- discounts for full year paid up front)

• $100 for each computer or laptop

• $300 for each server

• $50 for each printer (service only-- toner, ink & maintenance kits extra)

• $50 for router & switch maintenance (max 1 router)

Computer & server support include service only... If parts are needed to repair a system, that would be extra.  Higher-priced maintenance agreements, or extra surcharge could be negotiated to include component replacements as necessary.

As an example, an office with 4 computers, a laptop, a server, a laser printer and routed connection to the internet would cost $900/month, or $10,800/year for complete coverage.  Compare this to hiring a full or part-time employee, or having one of your current employees take time out of their day to take care of technical issues.

Upgrades

For upgrades, I will charge you the cost of the parts, and mileage as described above.  Installation cost is determined based on complexity.  Most minor components would require a $30 installation fee if you wanted us to do it for you.  More complex things, like a motherboard will be more due to other factors involved, and determined at time of need.  Minimal diagnosis fee would also apply if your computer has a problem, we need to find out what it is, and then item needs replacing.

Hard Drive Data Recovery

We offer full-service hard drive data recovery services.  Whether a virus destroyed your data, or you have a complete hardware failure, we can help.  We are contracted with a local data recovery service with clean room facilities, and if you've lost important data due to a crash, chances are we can get it back.

The base cost for most recovery needs is $500.  This would increase to $800 if the drive needs to be dismantled in a clean room environment, and that is the maximum you would need to pay.  You would be contacted if this were the case in order for you to decide if you wanted to have us attempt that.

There is NO COST if we cannot recover the data. 

Most hard drive recoveries require a week to complete.

Component/Camera/PDA Sales

For those within the Madison or Dodgeville area, or are willing to meet me somewhere in the vicinity, I will personally deliver your items for free.  Outside of Dane or Iowa Counties, you will be charged a nominal shipping charge.  Please call or email for a quote of the specific items you would like.
